    Ote-mon Gate@(Important Cultural Asset)

Ote-mon is the main gate of Osaka Castle and was constructed in 1628. The gate was restored in 1848, and was repaired in 1956 after being pulled down. When the gate was disassembled, it was revealed that the actual gate had escaped the fire caused by lightening in 1783 and that only the roof had been repaired at the end of the Edo period.
